NT RCMP say they've intercepted another illegal liquor delivery on NWT waters, this time in Lutsel K'e.
Police say officers in Lutsel K'e were patrolling the area earlier this week on the lookout for bootleggers when they spotted a person wading to shore from a boat carrying a suspicious bag. He was detained and searched.
"Officers subsequently seized and destroyed 22 bottles of vodka and one bottle of rum," police stated on Aug. 21. "The RCMP wishes to remind the public that Lutsel K’e is an alcohol-prohibited community, and thanks the public for their continued support as officers work to address substance-based harm in the area."
