Sahtu Dene Necha Ko Long Term Care Facility in Norman Wells kicked off its first full year with its new teepee by hosting a fire-feeding ceremony for Elders on May 30.
As part of ongoing efforts to bring more traditional activities to the facility, eight drummers were invited to help with the ceremony. The event was followed by a feast of caribou, bannock and fish.
