Hay River South MLA Rocky Simpson called on the territorial government to show more flexibility and effort to help unvaccinated workers remain in the Northwest Territories during the first day of the new Legislative Assembly session, Nov. 22.

The GNWT Department of Lands over the coming weeks will be putting notices on what it considers unauthorized cabins set up on Kátł’odeeche First Nation territory, according to a Facebook post made by the community, Nov. 18.

A year from now Hay River is expected to see a completed commercial fish plant after a soft ground-breaking for the project happened in early September.
