The 2023 Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown are still around a year away but one of the sports playing for Team NT has already punched its ticket for the charter as the curling trials wrapped up at the Yellowknife Curling Centre on Thursday afternoon.

The 2022 Canadian Seniors Curling Championships won鈥檛 be happening until December, in a location yet to be determined, but at least the NWT knows who it will be sending.

Calgary-born Olympian Liam Gill made a pitstop in Yellowknife during the afternoon of March 3 to try out Bristol Pit at the request of the non-profit snowboarding and skiing club Ragged Riders.

Having not had the chance to race in 2021, the best young speedskaters in the territory reconvened in the year of our Lord 2022 for the NWT Speed Skating Championships late last month in Yellowknife.
