Sometimes bad behaviour come back to bite a person in the posterior more than once.

Ever get the feeling that the world has gone a little crazy? Well don’t feel bad because you are not alone and a whole lot of people feel that way. Mind you, if you look at history the world has always been a crazy old place but sometimes its craziness, is certainly more noticeable. Like it is now.

By now you should know what the word BIPOC stands for, if not it is Black, and Indigenous People of colour. Although I am Indigenous, I cannot claim to be BIPOC because I am not a person of colour and therefore do not get profiled by authority for the colour of my skin. I can drive down the street and not have to worry that I will be targeted and pulled over because of discrimination based on my ethnicity alone.

A long time ago when I was a teenager, I went to an alternative film festival. It showed a number of films that never made it to the commercial screens or TV but was none-the-less entertaining. One of the films dealt with documentaries and how they were made and how they can affect people’s perspective and perception.

Well, I suppose it was inevitable. Last Friday I felt a pain in my throat and began isolating immediately. I tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday night.

Instead of focusing on the thugs who occupied Ottawa and kept their horns blasting for the better part of the night for almost two weeks keeping everyone – including seniors, children, and the ill – awake, why don’t we focus on the many health care workers who continue to work long hours caring for the vaccinated and non-vaccinated alike though they reached the point of exhaustion long ago.
