After receiving a report of two people being held against their will in a residence several days prior, Yellowknife RCMP entered the downtown location with a search warrant at 4:30 a.m. on June 13.
Although the two individuals had been released, police say they found a firearm and other evidence in the residence, located in the 5400 block of 52 Street. Three people were subsequently arrested.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are forthcoming, the RCMP stated in a news release issued on Friday afternoon.
The police offered their thanks to the City of Yellowknife for providing support during the operation.
