Police trying to remove suspected armed individual from Fort Gary Apartments

A police operation is underway in Yellowknife, with multiple RCMP officers and at least one police dog unit responding to a standoff at Fort Gary Apartments on Gitzel Street.

RCMP Cpl. Gavin Layman told ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø that an armed person was in the building. Police were trying to get them out at the time ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø was on the scene.

This story will be updated as soon as more information becomes available.
