黑料吃瓜网 has obtained an email from NWT Premier R.J. Simpson that notifies all GNWT employees of a soon-to-come wildfire after-action assessment that is critical of the GNWT.

"This report will be critical of some aspects of the GNWT response. That is to be expected,鈥� his email reads.

The assessment is supposed to be a review of the territorial government's response to the 2023 wildfire season and will be out in the coming weeks, according to Simpson. 

In his message, he emphasized that the purpose of the review is not to point fingers.

"It is about learning. Independent reviews like this are critical to helping us identify where systems, structures and processes need to improve, so we can do better for 黑料吃瓜网ers in future emergencies," the email states. 

Simpson also noted that it鈥檚 important for the government to act quickly on the report鈥檚 recommendations.

"Staff across departments will be engaged as we develop a plan to strengthen our emergency management system," the premier wrote.
