A helicopter crash near Behchoko early Monday afternoon has claimed the life of the pilot.
Behchoko RCMP stated they were notified of an aircraft crashing approximately 1.5 km from Highway 3 near the community. A release stated officers went to the crash site and provided emergency assistance.
The pilot, who was apparently the only person on board, was located with what was described as "sustained injuries,鈥� according to RCMP. Police say CPR was given to the victim, who later succumbed to his injuries.
No further information was made immediately available. Police extended condolences to the friends and family of the victim.
