A man with a warrant for his arrest issued in the NWT has been added to Ottawa's 'be on the lookout' (BOLO) program’s top-25 most wanted.
Leron Andrew John, 24, is facing charges stemming from incidents that took place in Fort Resolution in 2023, including assault with a weapon, uttering threats against a person, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of property obtained by crime, according to the RCMP. He also is a suspect in a shooting at the West Edmonton Mall, also from 2023.
Prior to his warrants, John was released from jail based on conditions imposed by the court, the police stated.
John is described as a Black male, approximately 5’6” tall and 130 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts should not approach him, the police advised, and instead contact the nearest RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers at or call 911.
