A person has died in Behchoko following an assault, according to RCMP.
Police say they were called to an assault at a residence on July 31.
"Officers responded to the scene and found an unconscious male victim," the RCMP stated on Aug. 5. "First aid was provided until paramedics attended."
The victim later died in a hospital, they added.
No charges have been laid, according to the RCMP. However, the police force's Major Crimes Unit and forensic team are working with the NWT Coroner Service to investigate.
