Yellowknife's Daniel Kudlak has $1 million more in the bank thanks to winning the Lotto 6/49's gold ball draw on June 29.

I couldnt believe it, he stated. I scanned the ticket once in-store, jumped back and thought, Oh, my God!"

Kudlak said he looked around to make sure no one was watching and scanned his ticket a couple more times to make sure it was real.

By the sounds of it, the money's fallen into the right hands for Kudlak's community.

"We also support our Inuit community program by providing food for those less fortunate, he said. Its something wed like to continue to support.

Kudlak added he's going to pay off his mortgage and put some money away to help out down the line. There's also some things he wouldn't mind upgrading.

"Weve also been talking about getting a bigger boat, he said. We have a boat, but its not the biggest boat Id like to get one that can withstand the big lake.
