Arviat's Morgan Tookoome is the stereotypical take-it-as it comes type of guy.
Tookoome, 17, graduated from high school this past year and hasn't decided which direction he wants to go in from here.
The affable teenager said he really enjoyed his final two years of high school.
He said school was great and he's always liked living in Arviat.
"I hope I'll be able to work in Arviat and keep living here," said Tookoome. "I got into playing basketball about a year ago and really enjoy playing the game now. I got into playing the sport because my friend started playing basketball, so I started to play too and now we all play quite a bit.
"I enjoy shooting baskets, but my favourite part of the game is playing five-on-five. That's really a lot of fun and it's challenging."
Tookoome said he's not a very good shooter on the court yet, but he's trying to get better.
He said he still needs more practice to improve his shooting, but he's willing to spend the time to get it done.
"My favourite things about living in Arviat is just walking around the town, being with friends and spending time with family.
"I like being from Arviat because it's a fun place to live. As far as what's coming up, I think I'll look for work here at home and, hopefully, everything will work out.
"During some of my relaxation time I like listening to music. My two favourite types of music are rap and country and both are pretty popular in Arviat, so that's good.
"I always liked going to school and I like learning. I hope the future works out for me here. I like calling Arviat home because it's such a friendly town."
