A Yellowknife woman has won $1 million from a scratch ticket.
鈥淚 was actually quite numb and in shock,鈥� said winner Silke Jahn. 鈥淚t was late, and I didn鈥檛 want to wake anyone in the house up, so I couldn鈥檛 scream!鈥�
Jahn said she's going to pay off her house, car and debt. She added that she and wants to help settle her mom in Germany and then find a new job.
Jahn purchased her ticket from Yellowknife Direct Charge Co-op on Old Airport Road in Yellowknife.
